For Award Season ‘09, the trend on the Red Carpet will be classic, sophisticated and definitely romantic.
Hollywood icons will be creating their own signature style, taking their cue from old Hollywood.
The hair will be sleek with a focus on loose romantic curls. Slicked back hair with fresh bangs will also be strong on the red carpet this year.
The key accessory will be the face, with a strong emphasis on the lips. A full red lip is key, with a definite smoky eye and a soft palette cheek.
The color this award season will vary from basic black and aubergine to vibrant hues.
Celebrities will step away from white and lean towards statements that are unexpected, with instant shots of color like a daring cocktail ring or a rich purple beaded bag.
For the men, the look continues to be classic with more texture, such as velvet jackets and patterned vests.
We will also see the return of the double-breasted tuxedo, and a few handsome A-listers will choose chocolate brown and midnight blue tuxedos instead of basic black.
