Is it just me, or do some of the selections from the Vivienne Tam Fall 2009 preview lookbook look like they would work for late winter/early spring, too? Like this petal-ruffled top and skirt. The fuchsia colored top is a glorious color, suitable for weather that’s warming up. And with a skirt the color of purple irises, this model almost looks like a spring flower herself. The look of the cinched, high waist is starting to grow on me. It is a much softer take on the cinched waists of the late 1980s, which were topped with fullback sized shoulder pads in an exaggerated silhouette. While I am totally digging the black stockings and shoes, I think this outfit could work for a spring or early summer wedding, if you were to trade them for strappy sandals.

My personal favorite the Rococo by MoovBoot™
Priced from $150 USD a pair for Mid Calf and $175 USD for Tall, the entire MoovBoots™ Collection can be purchased online at www.moovboot.com!
Freshly debarked from Down Under, the MoovBoot™ has been designed to keep your feet dry and snug in all weather conditions, whilst indulging your fashion sense. A step up from the American’s coveted Ugg Boots, the innovative MoovBoot™ features 100% sheepskin lining with a removable inner sole for extra warmth and comfort, as well as exclusive patterns you will love wearing around, be it in the garden, the great outdoors or at a trendy party.
Combining practical weatherproof qualities with ultra feminine details, the new Collection of MoovBoots™ launches in the US in four styles, each created to add distinctive glamour to any outfit:
The Rider, an elegant soft khaki boot with a timeless cream herringbone print; The Alice, a vibrant red and white boot inspired by 1950s retro wallpaper; The Rococo, a sophisticated boot with its black and gold vintage pattern; and The Lemon Tea, an exotic boot with an intricate grey pattern of Japanese blossoms, snowflakes and cranes on an pale lemon yellow background.
And my personal favorite? Is the Rococo. I loved the gold pattern and lovely soft wool lining. Now being a fellow brit, I must say it does take a new turn on the ‘wellington’. If you have been looking for a ‘welly’ slash ‘ugg’. Then you have for sure found your shoe paradise. The MoovBoots™ offers the best of both worlds.

The lookbook for Vivienne Tam’s fall 2009 collection brings to mind crisp blue skies and nippy mornings, with nature’s glorious colors putting on their own fashion show. The tweed jacket and skirt shown above manage to be just as work-appropriate as the boring old suit-with-floppy-tie-blouse look that reigned in the 80s, but they are much more feminine and interesting. The contrast of the thick tweed with the sheer blouse is a genius move that allows the wearing of hefty tweeds while the weather is still too warm for fall sweaters under jackets. And of course, you can’t go wrong with the combination of black stockings and black shoes, which have been visually elongating legs for years now. No wonder they’re classics.

After winning Season Four of Project Runway, designer Christian Siriano immediately endeared himself to women everywhere by designing a collection of reasonably priced shoes and handbags for Payless. Inspired by colors and textures of northern Africa, these teetering platform heels let someone else get on with the standard blacks and grays of fall clothing. Featuring a gorgeous Persian green like in the ankle boots above, the Christian Siriano collection gives women something totally new to look forward to. In designing a collection for Payless, Siriano joins fashion luminaries such as Patricia Field, Lela Rose, and Stacey Bendet of Alice+Olivia. The shoes will retail from $25 to $45 when they hit the stores for fall.
