BVLGARI’s 125th Anniversary: Save the Children Ring

0 Comments 12 February 2009

In support of the project, we will have many celebrities/iconic (Jason Lewis, Isabella Rossellini) figures supporting the program by being photographed wearing the STC ring created by Bulgari. The first of these figures is Barbie who will appear in the series of Fabrizio Ferri photographs. Also, in conjunction with her 50th anniversary, Bulgari has created custom jewelry and accessories that will be on display during the Barbie Fashion Show.

Barbie and Bulgari share not only an important anniversary this year but also a long history of glamour, allure and elegance.

While she is celebrating her 50th birthday in excellent form, Bulgari is celebrating the 125th anniversary of its foundation with a series of events that will culminate in the first retrospective ever organized and dedicated to the history of the brand. This exhibition will open on May 20th at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.

In homage to Barbie, one of the world’s most recognized divas, Bulgari has created a collection of one-of-a-kind precious jewels and accessories that will be presented during the Barbie Fashion Show on February 14th in New York City.

“Barbie has always been an icon of style inspiring the dreams of generations of girls around the world. She still perfectly interprets the spirit of the times today, by deciding to support us in the ‘Save the Children’ campaign to guarantee an education for children afflicted by hardship. This is the perfect role for a contemporary Barbie,” Nicola Bulgari, Vice Chairman of the Bulgari Group.
