Mammoth Mountain is excited to announce that until April 30, the Mammoth Value Pass, which is the least expensive unrestricted season pass on offer, will be available on a first come, first served basis.
The Mammoth Value Pass was closed to new pass holders in 2005 because they were so popular the mountain was in danger of overcrowding, dampening the experience of guest skiers and snowboarders. In the intervening years, however, enough people have moved or otherwise left the program that a limited number of MVP10 passes will be offered to new members until April 30.
Those who purchase an MVP10 pass will then remain eligible for future MVP passes. After this year, the MVP club will close once again. There are no blackout days on the MVP10, and you can begin using it starting April 24, 2009.
All pass holders old and new must sign a physical copy of the Liability Release Form. You may return it by fax to 866-702-9096 or mail it to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, c/o Mammoth Vacations, P.O. Box 24, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546. If you mail your Liability Release Form, please allow two weeks for processing.
To purchase an MVP10 pass, go to MammothMountain.com, or call 800-MAMMOTH. It is recommended that you pay with a credit card to guarantee that Mammoth has your order. You may use Visa, MasterCard, or American Express online. For mailing a check, money order, or other non-credit card payment, call 760-934-0745 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific Time.
If your mail-in order is not received by April 30, Mammoth Mountain will not be able to process the order, even if the postmark is before that date. That’s why it is important to allow at least two weeks for mail processing. New pass holders will be able to pick them up at the Main Lodge starting April 24, 2009. Renewing pass holders should continue to use their 2008/09 passes.
Mammoth Passes are non-refundable, and cannot be transferred to another season or another person. Pass holders purchasing their passes in April 2009 will receive special offers for lodging, activities, gift cards and PassCash at the time of purchase.
To pick up your pass starting April 24, you will need to present a valid photo ID. If you are a new pass holder, you’ll have your photo taken when you pick up your pass. Mammoth Mountain does not accept mailed or e-mailed photos.
