High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, 23, has apparently split with her boyfriend Jared Murillo, 20, a backup dancer. The two began dating in March 2007 and were photographed together buying promise rings in Los Angeles at one time. Celebrity news reports from those close to the two say that there were no theatrics, but the pair simply grew apart.

Tisdale has said that her ideal man is “Someone you can be comfortable with,” and from photos snapped of her and music video director Scott Speer, it appears she has found someone who fits that description. The two were spotted together last weekend enjoying themselves in Malibu.

Speer directed Tisdale in four of her music videos and has said that she is “an exceptionally talented artist and a great person to work with.”

Of Speer, Tisdale said, “We are really good friends.”
