Miley Cyrus and her family celebrated mom Trish’s birthday at Paradise Island in the Bahamas last weekend. The 16-year-old star of hit Disney show Hannah Montana spent the weekend on the beach with her parents and brothers Braison and Noah. Miley and her brothers went parasailing and rode on a banana boat.

But she also found time to perform a concert Saturday night at the Atlantis Resort and Casino, and she performed at the Atlantis Imperial Ballroom. Fans were able to follow her vacation as she updated her Twitter account a few times over the weekend.

The young star recently told Daily Record that one of her role models is Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl and wife of soccer star David Beckham. Miley says that Victoria has great fashion sense and does a good job managing her career, marriage, and motherhood. In the interview she said, “In 10 years, I’d like to be a soccer mom, like Victoria. I’ll be there in my heels cheering on my kids. ‘Go, team, go.’ But I’ll have no idea what’s going on.”

In the more immediate future, Miley is looking for actors for her new movie project Last Song. Auditions have been held in Wilmington, North Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. More auditions will be held in Savannah, and the movie will be filmed there also.

Filming for Last Song is scheduled to start in mid-June and continue through August.
