What started off as a little show that tried its best turned into a television juggernaut that had pre-teens paying hundreds of dollars to see Cyrus in concert. For the three people who don’t know, Hannah Montana is a Disney television series about a girl who is a pop star, but who keeps her pop star identity a secret in order to try and live a normal life. Miley recently told CBS Morning News that her life resembles her television show. “At first it wasn’t, because I didn’t know what this whole life was about,” she said.

Last year the 16-year-old made $18 million, and her concert movie Best of Both Worlds was the biggest concert film ever. After the television show ends, she plans to continue her career as a musician and movie star.

Dad/co-star Billy Ray Cyrus recently told Access Hollywood, regarding the end of the television series, “She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to Hannah Montana.
