Lindsay Lohan went from something close to her natural red hair color to platinum blonde the other day in a marathon salon session that lasted a reported 11 hours. She emerged with nearly waist length blonde locks, partly covered by a fedora at Byron and Tracey Hair Salon in Beverly Hills around 11:30 at night. Lohan’s Twitter account states that the new hair is for a movie role, and the movie is presumed to be Dare to Love Me, which goes into production soon.
Lohan was later spotted in tiny shorts and sunglasses hitting the shops with her on-again off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
In other Lohan news, Lindsay has dismissed reports saying she owes the fancy Chateau Marmont $37,500 in unpaid bills from a stay there in with Ronson earlier this year. The fancy hotel has been Lohan’s crash pad of choice for several years. In a 2006 Vanity Fair article, she is described as an adult version of the children’s book character “Eloise,” getting cake from the kitchen, and generally treating it like it was her own house.
Lohan’s spokesperson denied the claim that she owes Chateau Marmont money, attributing the story to a jilted friend who enjoyed feeding rumors to the British tabloids.

DKNY has designed a tee with a cause, which is called the “Chari-Tee.” DKNY’s Chari-Tee, is an interactive program between DKNY and those who love and wear it!
DKNY’s Chari-Tee retails for $65 and benefits a menu of NYC organizations. Each hangtag lists five NYC charities to which you can donate. Once you’ve decided on the organization, log on to dkny.com, and select your choice. DKNY will then donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of your Chari-tee. It’s a fun, cool way to send instant love to NYC!

In addition to the Chari-tee, DKNY has produced eight different “eco-friendly printed” totes featuring artwork of eight NYC students, created for the CITYarts “portraits of peace” initiative There are 5 of each style – 40 unique bags in total. The totes were printed using an eco-friendly digital printing process. The resulting water-based design is printed without screens or films utilizing less ink with no excess ink waste.
The totes are only $25 each, with all proceeds going back to CITYarts. The totes will only be available at the DKNY store on Madison Avenue.

Katy Perry recently told the Boston Herald that she loves living life on her own terms, and that her parents are OK with it. Perry grew up in a strict, Christian household where MTV was banned, and even words like “devil” were forbidden. But she says, her parents did what they believed was right, telling the Herald, “But generally my parents were doing as good of a job as I think most parents can do.”
She went from releasing a gospel album at 16 to moving out at 17 and beginning her career as a pop singer. She describes the making of album “One of the Boys” as “an open diary. A lot of it’s about boys. A lot of it’s about relationships, getting crazy with your friends and trying new things.” For her next album, Perry plans more dance-worthy songs.
Perry is also a fashion icon to young women, who watch her every outfit with great interest. A few days ago she was photographed in New York wearing a tight fitting denim playsuit while doing some shopping at Kid Robot in Soho. She had earlier left a tattoo parlor with a bandage over her ankle. She later revealed the new tattoo, of a smiling cartoon strawberry.
As a way to throw people off, she also revealed a tattoo on her décolletage reading “Josh Grobin,” a misspelled reference to show and concert crooner Josh Groban. That tattoo was a fake.
