Ellen Page, star of the movie Juno, is in Paris shooting scenes from the movie Inception, which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Marion Cotillard. Supposedly a sci-fi thriller, the Christopher Nolan-directed movie is said to be about a business executive who becomes involved in blackmail.The trailer is to be released Friday, August 21.

Little is known about the film, but there are a few bits of information coming out. DeCaprio plays the lead role, Cotillard plays his wife, and Page plays a graduate student. Also in the cast are Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ken Watanabe, who plays the villain. Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy are also signed for the movie.

Page was originally signed to costar in a movie titled Jack and Diane about two teen girlfriends, one of whom is a werewolf. Just recently, writer/director Bradley Rust Gray has confirmed that Page had left the project, and has been replaced by actress Alison Pill, who appeared in the movie Milk about San Francisco’s mayor, Harvey Milk. Jack and Diane has not started shooting yet, but IMDb says that the movie will come out in 2010.

In September, the Toronto International Film Festival will screen a movie called Whip It, starring Page, who goes from Texas beauty queen to roller derby star.
