It’s science as only MTV can do it. Sunday night’s Grammy Awards program shoehorned 16 performances into the three and a half hour broadcast, among them some of the biggest names in the music business: Elton John in a duet with Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Smoky Robinson, and Jennifer Hudson, among others. So the MTV Newsroom blog took a totally scientific poll of 6,300 MTV fans who read the blog and decided to chime in on whose performance they thought was the best of the broadcast.
Pink won.
With 33% of the vote, the edgy pop singer took top honors for her performance of “Glitter in the Air.” The number was technically impressive, because she had to sing while spinning around suspended in mid-air. It was also visually stunning, with amazing acrobatics incorporated. That was no lip sync she was doing, belting out lyrics while spinning around, afraid, she was going to, as she said, “fall on my nude butt.”
The Lady Gaga / Elton John duet was the runner-up. After these two performances, its sort of a jumble of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, the Michael Jackson tribute, and the Dave Matthews Band.
Pink later revealed that she and husband Carey Hart separated, but never actually divorced, citing a mutual hatred of paperwork.

Love her attitude, LOVE her dress, shes a win win! I missed her on the Grammy’s when I was watching, unfortunately, but now I’m all caught up!!! & wow.
