It would be hard to choose two better colors for bright and cheery winter wear than red and white. Lucky for Canadians, the flag sports these very colors, making it easy to show patriotic spirit and look great all at the same time, as can be seen in this slideshow on iVillage.com. Even though the 2010 Winter Olympic games will be coming to a close in a few days, Vancouver continues showing its national pride, with Canadians everywhere showing their support for their Olympians in their fashion choices.
And those who aren’t quite ready to have a maple leaf as part of their style statement still manage to show their support beautifully, whether with a simple hair accessory, a jacquard neck scarf, or a perfectly wonderful bright red DKNY trench coat that I’m seriously starting to covet.
Humans aren’t the only ones getting in on the action, however. One would be hard pressed to find a cuter supporter of the Canadian Olympic ice hockey team than an adorable pug wearing the canine version of a hockey jersey.
You can add fun fashion to the long list of reasons why Vancouver was recently selected as the best city in the world to live in. Canada’s Olympians surely know this. No matter the medal count, the pride of Canada is undiminished.
