Solange Knowles, 24-year-old musician and sister of Beyonce, recently left her job as the face of ladies fashion label Dereon, the clothing line that Beyonce and mother Tina started in 2006, but she left on good terms.

Saying that the clothes simply didn’t reflect her personal style, she handed over the reins and remains on good terms with the brand, and with her sister and mom. In fact, when recently asked by Refinery29.com who her biggest style inspiration is, she didn’t hesitate before answering, “My mom in the ’70s and ’80s!” She also listed as style heroes fashion star Chloe Sevigny, along with musicians Bjork, Diana Ross, and Erykah Badu.

Solange told Refinery29 that her favorite fashion accessories are, “Shoes! I’m all about the shoes! I order a ton of them online and play with my entire wardrobe until I find the right shoe.”
