Fashion week in Paris showed that green is a top fashion trend for Fall 2010. Everything from quiet sage to bold chartreuse showed up on the runway, and the perennially chic Catherine Deneuve showed up at the Jean Paul Gautier show wearing a gorgeous wrap dress in green silk, giving us all a lesson in how to do it right.
Couture fashion designers realize that green can be a tough color for many women to wear (excluding those lucky redheads, of course), and so they’ve given us a range with which to work. There’s a green for every complexion for Fall 2010, and the fact that so many of them are done in sumptuous fabrics including silks, brocades, and layers of tulles, makes them new, posh, and exciting.
