The success of last year’s first Fashion’s Night Out cannot be kept as a secret as it became the talk of the town for how many weeks. If one of this initial annual celebration’s highlight was the free bartending services of Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, then one of the anticipated appearances of this year’s event is having a tailgate party with American fashion designers like Tommy Hilfiger.
Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of one of the country’s most prestigious fashion trends magazine, Vogue, is the Fashion’s Night Out organizer for 2010. This annual shopping event is scheduled to happen during the New York Fashion Week, specifically on September 10.
“It has been a remarkable journey since Fashion’s Night Out debuted last year,” Wintour shared. “The enthusiasm and creativity, with which retailers and designers have approached this year’s celebration in New York City, the country, and around the world, are truly inspiring. I am delighted that shoppers will have such an extraordinary night to enjoy fashion.”
While this shopping event was held in New York last year, the 2010 Fashion’s Night Out is now celebrated on an international scale. In fact, almost 1,000 celebrities, beauty brands, retailers and fashion designers are now featured as they offer discounts for this special event. Aside from New York, fashion parties are also deliberated in Turkey, Russia, India, Greece, China and Australia.
This highly anticipated fashion event promises a lot for fashion fanatics. While some may sample the food and drinks, others may enjoy the provided entertainment. Shoppers may also be lucky enough to receive limited-edition products and freebies, while others may benefit from the makeover offered by Hollywood fashion stylists.
Jessica Simpson, Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Pharrell Williams, Bryan Adams, Lauren Hutton, Naomie Campbell and Mary J. Blige are only some of the names who are expected to grace the fashion industry’s 2010 Fashion Night’s Out.
