The celebrity news and gossip swirling about princess-to-be Kate Middleton is that she has chosen British designer Bruce Oldfield to design her wedding dress. Neither Oldfield nor his representatives would confirm the rumor, however. There had been some speculation that Kate would choose Issa, her favorite label, to design the gown, but Britain’s Telegraph newspaper says that Oldfield has been chosen.

Bruce Oldfield has designed high profile wedding dresses before, namely for Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samantha. He was also a favorite designer of Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana and is known for his couture occasion-wear for the royal and moneyed.
