The Headwear Association is 103 years old, and promotes the wearing of hats and “goodwill and fellowship among those engaged in the headwear industry.” There is no doubt that the fedora has had quite a revival in recent years as top fashion accessories, and the Headwear Association has named Johnny Depp, singer and fashion industry mogul Gwen Stefani, and Hugh Jackman as their top Hat People of the Year.

The group’s spokesperson explained their top choice, saying “Depp is rarely seen without a hat, and prefers wide brim fedoras.” Also making the list were Justin Timberlake, Kate Hudson, and Nicole Richie. Last year’s winner was Brad Pitt, who singlehandedly brought back the newsboy cap for a spell.
