Booties I Love for Fall

0 Comments 01 November 2010

Booties work great with any style of slacks, with longer skirts and with above-the-knee skirts that are not too full (lest you look like a figure skater). If you’re not comfortable showing a lot of leg, but like the mini skirt / bootie combo, wear opaque tights in either black, or to match the booties, and you’ll carry it off just fine.

Here are a few favorites for this fall.

First, this studded platform bootie from Rock and Republic in gray has a peep toe and a wrapped platform in front. Keep the rest of your outfit simple, because these will attract all eyes.

The Jemma Lace-up Faux Fur Bootie from Bebe takes the work boot and urbanizes it, with faux fur cuff, lace-up front, and a 6 inch heel with 1 inch platform.

Wet Seal makes a Faux Suede Wedge Bootie in black that is a new take on the style. It features a peep toe and side zipper, with a 5 inch heel and 2 inch platform. Great with a long, flowing skirt!

The Ash Shine Motorcycle Bootie was made for this fall’s sexy mini skirts. With an edgy, triple-belt detail, 9 inch shaft, and 1.75 inch chunky heel, you’ll put this style to a lot of use this fall and winter.

The Faithful Collared Bootie from Alexander McQueen is made in Italy and exudes sophisticated European style. It has a notched, snapped collar, logo-skull zipper tab, and elegant stitching that you’d expect from this design house. With a 5 inch stacked heel and 0.75 inch platform, it features leather lining and sole for pure to-the-minute style. Try it with your skinny jeans, too!
