Calvin Klein Proclaims Trends are Out

0 Comments 11 August 2010

The man behind countless fashion trends says he is happy to be out of the fashion industry. Calvin Klein, who sold the company bearing his name in 2002, recently told New York Magazine that he doesn’t miss being a designer because he grew tired of trying to keep up with trends.

Said he, “I’m so happy to not pay attention to trends because they are meaningless anyway.” But Klein’s style legacy is as strong as ever, with the Calvin Klein label featuring the likes of Zoe Saldana and Lara Stone in their advertising campaigns.

So, what is the former king of fashion designers into these days? He’s building a house in Southampton, and it is clear that he’s still a designer at heart. He described the house as being very contemporary with plenty of glass, revealing that perhaps he thinks that Mother Nature is the best designer of them all.
