Whether you are a little bit country (or a little bit rock n’ roll), every fashionista will benefit from some Western-inspired pieces this fall. Okay, so cowgirl chic isn’t exactly revolutioinary; many will agree that it was Sienna Miller who created a Western/Boho renaissance a few years ago. Those styles, which were typically limited to just summer wear, are now translating into fabulous fall fashions.
Ready to take the reigns? Then saddle up and add these goodies to your must-have list for your fall wardrobe:
Boots

Sam Edelman “Utah” Boots (source)
The easiest and most versatile Western-inspired piece you can buy has to be a pair of boots. The hottest ones of the season are fringy and covered in luxe suede. Pair these with anything from jeans to skirts to add instant cowgirl flair.
Plaid

BDG Mandarin Plaid Button-Up (source)
While J-Simp has been embracing her love for plaid for months now, it’s just now catching our attention for fall wear. Look for plaid shirt dresses and button-ups for a casual chic look. I especially love what Rihanna has done with hers, wearing it under a snug vest to give her Western wear an edgier appeal.
Also look for brown suede bags and belts with antique hardware to amplify your look. Denim vests (and any denim in general) married with gauzy white cotton tops are perfect for late summer/early fall transitions. So, whether you are looking for a way to resurrect some of your old summer favorites, or simply love the Western wear look for fall, take some cues from these cowgirl inspired styles to put a little yee-haw into your look.

We all wonder what to wear sometimes. And each day brings with it a new evaluation of our wardrobe. But I love weekends, as it means getting away from the office. And doing something different. Showing your style for that fun weekend at a party, club or restaurant. Means that it is time to shine! Today we’ve got some great ideas for that cool end of summer weekend.

Graphic Tee only $19.99
This fashionably graphic tee, is great to have fun in and is excellent paired with waist high jeans. Dress it up or down. This look is great from daytime shopping with girlfriends. To going straight to the club! Wear it casually with jeans, or wear it as a hot dress with pumps for an evening look.

High Waist Skinny Jean - Teen Clothing by Wet $39.50
Pair that cool graphic tee with a dark skinny jean. That way it looks great from a day outfit to an evening look if you so wish. Having a daring pair of shoes to accompany this whole outfit is where the fun starts. Try these on for style!

Red pointed toe bootie heel pump retails for only $21.99

Finish the look with a well chosen Miu Miu handbag. I like the look of a contemporary feel to a Miu Miu bag. This accents the glam of the tee and striking shoes.

Go contemporary with Miu Miu for only $165.00
But however you feel to mix your wardrobe up this weekend, remember to have fun with it and get your funk on!

The famous saying is always true: styles always come back around. This spring is no exception as celebs and designers are bringing back some of my tried and true favorite looks. This is good news for fashionista’s like me that can’t part with certain staples! If you want an easy way to update your look without shelling out any cash, check out these hot new looks for spring, and don’t be surprised if they look familiar:
1) Jean jackets with dresses:

Joy Bryant (source)
Give your cardigans a rest and tone down a fancy dress with a jean jacket. This is a great way to cover up your arms if you are self-conscious about them, and also looks fresh and fun.
2) One-shoulder tops and dresses:

Camilla Belle (source)
One-shoulder looks are hit and miss, and are in one season and out the next…lucky for you, if you’ve saved your old one-shouldered tops, you can get some use out of them this season. Solid colored tank styles (without sleeves) are the best bet, and you can dress yours up with a simple and inexpensive flower pin for a fun spring look.
3) Gladiator Sandals

Kate Bosworth (source)
They are back again, and better than ever…gladiator sandals are still a spring and summer staple and look great with everything from jeans and dresses to shorts and even bathing suits. If you’ve got great legs, go for it! But be warned; if you have heavy calves, these will only bring more attention to them.
Dig out some of your tried and true favorite spring looks because who knows?…a new fashion trend may be lurking in your closet. Check your inventory and see what you have to spruce up your spring wardrobe without spending a dime.

Designers Kelly Gray and Nikki Sixx Showcase the latest Royal Underground Line (source)
What happens when you mix rock n’ roll with upscale chic? You get a sophisticated and edgy line like Royal Underground.
Brainchild of former Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and former St. John model and exec Kelly Gray, Royal Underground brings glam and rock to fashion life like no other line. Debuting their men’s line last year, Royal Underground has now unveiled a line for women that features stunning coats and jeans with embellishments and designs borrowed directly from the French Revolution era.
“The women’s line reflects that underground sensibility, emboyding the same soulful and
avant-garde vibe as the men’s offerings. The vision for the debut included slender jeans,
antiqued leather jackets and ultra-soft cashmere sweaters…” (source)
Along with this ultra-luxe new line of women’s clothing is a new Royal Underground jewelry line, featuring his and her’s pieces. Created by LA based jewelry designed Mitchell Binder (of King Baby), the new jewelry line features chunky rings adorned with a variety of insignias, as well as chunky medallions on thick chains.
Check our the new Royal Underground line, coming soon to Nordstrom’s and other fine retailers…for now, feast your eyes on this stunning and sexy line before everyone else!

One of my favorite blogs Denimology wrote a great post about Jennifer Aniston in Lofli Jeans.

Here is a quick excerpt: If owned a denim company and I was looking for a female celeb to promote my jeans, I reckon Jennifer Aniston would be pretty high on my list. Not only is she is the most profitable actress working today (meaning her movies bring the biggest return per dollar spent) but she also has the kind of look that isn’t intimidating to the average woman on the street. Here she is wearing a simple pair of Lofli Jeans and making them look like a million dollars. Read the rest of the post here…

Jessica Biel (source)
I just loved Jessica Biel’s casual evening look so much, I had to post this pic! Everything about her look is working; cute hair, cute jewelry, cute clutch, cute flats, cute top…I think we have a winner!
Although skinny jeans may soon be a thing of the past (wide leg pants are big for fall), if you still want to rock yours for evening wear, try out these tips:
1) Just clutch it: adding a brightly hued clutch and fancy flats is an easy way to turn skinny jeans from daywear to evening.

Socoley Clutch, Red, $360.00
2) Go for an ultra fancy luxe top: shimmery materials, sexy low cuts and solid colors are perfect for an evening of drinks, sushi and dancing!

Misile “St. Laurent Street” top, was $190, now $85
“Stella Warm” necklace by Gabby Bella, $146.00
Don’t forget to give your neckline that little extra bit of glitzy with a sexy and unique necklace…see? Dressing up those skinny jeans for evening is super easy.

A few favorites in National’s Fall Fashions.

It might be tough being famous - but it’s never been easier to look famous! Let the stars have their tabloids and paparazzi, you’ll be the one making headlines for your style, not your scandal.
Hollywood favorites Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria have all been making the news and getting their pictures snapped around town and it’s no secret why - they always look great. Katie is always on the go and looking glamorous, especially in her J Brand Straight Leg Jeans - perfect for keeping up with Tom and Suri. Eva, often in bold and bright colors, has found her match with T-Bags. Jennifer, forever a trendsetter, wears a look we love - the Seven for All Mankind Ginger High Rise Wide Leg.
All these looks, and many others from Hollywood’s favorite brands like Anlo, Ella Moss, Splendid, Juicy Couture and Sky are all available at NJC!
