It’s easy to look like a star these days. Just a little right hair and make-up here, and the right outfit there. Before your know it, you a sporting a look that could be as good as any star out there today! So I am always on the lookout for that fashionable celebrity look for less! Yes it does not have to be expensive or exactly the same. As long as it shows a similar trend and technique, that is what counts! Now I chose Anne Hathaway looking quite dapper at her red carpet event. She was dressed to impress in this very cute gold Marchesa dress, where she made an appearance at the Shakespeare in the Park’s ‘Twelfth Night’ Premiere in New York City.
Now here is how I recreated that style!

Top Shop’s Scallop Skirt Dress in lemon has that same feel and design just like Anne’s dress. And for $135.00, it is a far less cry for a girl on the cheap!

Go for the gold strappy sandal when you want to repeat that look or style like Anne’s. Here is a great gold high heel from Top Shop’s shoe collection. For $145 it is a real steal!

It doesn’t matter whether your job is in a bank, a law office, a media company, or an accounting firm: classic black and white is a great combination that always looks just right. Your job probably doesn’t involve making state trips to Spain, but you can take Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s look to work with you.

Black Pencil Skirt

Start with the eternally appropriate high waist black pencil skirt. This one falls just above the knee and has a back slit and zipper. $38.00 from Henrigirl.com.

Black Tank or Tee

A basic, fitted black tank or tee can go under any number of jackets, sweaters, or blouses this spring while not drawing attention to itself. This one comes from Fruit of the Loom and costs about $10.00.

Cropped White Sweater

This very feminine, cropped white sweater with ¾ length bell sleeves is not only soft and comfortable, but also looks great on top of the plain black background of your black skirt and tank. Classic Black Pumps

A good pair of classic black heels is a wardrobe basic that is the platform for a number of looks, from casual when paired with jeans to work perfect with a skirt. These Etienne Aigner Hydrogen pumps are dressy and will serve you well for a long time. They’re leather, which means they will only become more comfortable with time. $44.99 from East Coast Shoe Store.

Black Handbag

Here’s a slightly edgier take on the black clutch handbag. The Seattle Clutch is made by B. MAKOWSKY and soft supple leather, giving this feminine wardrobe staple a tiny bit of bad-girl chic. $104.82 from endless.com.

Get Nicole Richie’s Look for Less

Young mum and fashion icon Nicole Richie’s look can be replicated with strategic use of basic pieces for spring combined for a great new look.

Warren Tricomi worked with designer Douglas Hannant where Edward Tricomi created the hair for the Douglas Hannant Fall 2009 Show at New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Step #1: Prep hair by making it straight and sleek and part hair to create a bottom and a top.
Step #2: Take the lower portion of hair and slick back with hair spray to create a French twist.
Step #3: Next tease the upper portion of the hair with hairspray and create a bouffant and smooth over with a flat brush and hairspray.
Step #4: Pin back the bouffant to create a linear ponytail look and spray for hold.

The 2009 NFL Superbowl on Sunday, February 1st marked Jennifer Hudson’s comeback and she couldn’t have looked more gorgeous as she sang the Star Spangled Banner. Makeup Artist Sam Fine details below how to get a look that screams naturally confident.

“Jennifer is very trusting with her team and really allowed us to collaborate to bring a look that is fresh and new to her,” says Sam. “She was performing a classic song, so I gave her a classic look that would speak to the song she was performing.”

Get that Confident Glow
“On a field seen by millions of people, it’s important to have beautiful skin,” advises Sam. “I like to start with a perfect canvas - that is a priority.”

How to: Start by layering bronzer onto the cheek bones using Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Brunette. Then, apply a vibrant blush on top to add a pop of color.

Create a Classic Eye
“I wanted to play up the gold buttons on her jacket,” says Sam. “So I used a golden brown eye shadow on the eyelid.”
How To: Apply a light brown eye shadow across the lid. Then use Avon’s Ultra Luxury Eye Liner in Black on the inside rim of the eye to add depth and definition.

“You can’t do a performance without false lashes,” states Sam. “They give the eyes sparkle in a naturally glamorous way.”

How To: Apply the false lashes and then fuse them with your own lashes using a great mascara like Avon’s SuperSHOCK Mascara.

Nude Lip is a Must
“I created a nude lip for Jennifer because I knew that a microphone would be in it’s way for the performance,” says Sam. “I didn’t want to call too much attention to the mouth.”
How To: Use a dark brown liner that is two shades darker than your lip color. Then add a nude to the middle of the lip - try Avon’s Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in Rose Mauve. Dab on a bit of gloss in the center to finish.

The overall look was natural, beautiful and confident. “Jennifer was so excited - I think her team was more nervous than she was,” admits Sam. “We knew how important this was to her. But she was so clam and focused, listening to the song throughout the session to perfect the timing.”

For this season’s Golden Globes, celebrity stylist Robert Vetica created
two of the most glamorous looks on the red carpet for Salma Hayek and Kyra
Sedgwick!

Salma Hayek’s Sleek and Sexy Style

Products used for Salma Hayek’s look:
Moroccanoil Treatment for beautiful, extra shine and smoothness.

To create Salma Hayek’s sexy and slicked-back style, Vetica started with
wet hair. “I worked Moroccanoil(TM) Treatment through to detangle and smooth
out split ends and then dried the hair straight using Moroccanoil Hydrating
Styling Cream to give added shine and smoothness,” he explains.

Salma Hayek wore a Boucheron $250,000 diamond hair wrap which was specially
made for her, and the key was to keep the hair looking sleek.

How to get Salma’s look!

- Vetica pulled the hair back into two ponytails, the first one from ear to
crown to opposite ear and pulled it back low at the nape of the neck.

- He pulled the remaining hair into a second ponytail, directly on top of the
first, back-combing it to give extra lift and to add texture.

- Next, he braided each section, turned them under and attached them at the
nape of the neck. The double braid gave the effect of a unique textured
thickness that made the look fresh and new. Then, he wrapped the diamond
band around this double braid for a simple but chic effect.

Kyra Sedgwick’s Golden Globes Look!

You kind find the products used for Kyra’s look at Moroccanoil. That Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream added shine, definition and eliminated frizz!

Kyra Sedgwick’s look was reminiscent of Rita Hayworth, but more delicate
and loosely curled. He then pulled it back to show off her face with
cascading hair when she turned. He wanted the hair down but still elegant, and
Hollywood and fresh.

How to get Kyra’s look!

- Kyra’s hair was blow-dried to a smooth finish with a touch of Moroccanoil
Treatment, directed away from the face using a strong spray gel to hold her
hair up and away from her forehead.

- The back of the hair was curled inward to create wave and volume. Vetica
used a heat styling spray to protect the hair and to help give a firm hold
to the swept back look.

- Vetica brushed Kyra’s hair back from the front, to keep it away from her
face. The final look framed her face and cascaded into waves when she
turned. Vetica finished the style by rubbing a small amount of Moroccanoil
Hydrating Styling Cream through his hands, smoothing the hair and adding
shine to finish and refine the look.
