My personal favorite the Rococo by MoovBoot™

Priced from $150 USD a pair for Mid Calf and $175 USD for Tall, the entire MoovBoots™ Collection can be purchased online at www.moovboot.com!

Freshly debarked from Down Under, the MoovBoot™ has been designed to keep your feet dry and snug in all weather conditions, whilst indulging your fashion sense. A step up from the American’s coveted Ugg Boots, the innovative MoovBoot™ features 100% sheepskin lining with a removable inner sole for extra warmth and comfort, as well as exclusive patterns you will love wearing around, be it in the garden, the great outdoors or at a trendy party.

Combining practical weatherproof qualities with ultra feminine details, the new Collection of MoovBoots™ launches in the US in four styles, each created to add distinctive glamour to any outfit:
The Rider, an elegant soft khaki boot with a timeless cream herringbone print; The Alice, a vibrant red and white boot inspired by 1950s retro wallpaper; The Rococo, a sophisticated boot with its black and gold vintage pattern; and The Lemon Tea, an exotic boot with an intricate grey pattern of Japanese blossoms, snowflakes and cranes on an pale lemon yellow background.

And my personal favorite? Is the Rococo. I loved the gold pattern and lovely soft wool lining. Now being a fellow brit, I must say it does take a new turn on the ‘wellington’. If you have been looking for a ‘welly’ slash ‘ugg’. Then you have for sure found your shoe paradise. The MoovBoots™ offers the best of both worlds.

New York Fashion Week Finale: Michael Kors Fall 2009 Collection

Posted on 20 February 2009 by Jacqueline H

What a great way to end fashion week than with designer Michael Kors. I really loved his fall collection. And I really felt that it offered everything a women will need in her fall wardrobe. From great dresses in an assortment of refined and classic cuts. You can wear any of these fine ensembles for work, travel, vacation or evening event. I loved the belts which accented the dress, as well as the fantastic neutral colors. (Gray’s, black’s, white’s, khaki and pink). Which really are so down to earth and so very easy to wear for the everyday women. But that is what Kors is famous for, keeping it simple, but adding the touch of class which isn’t overbearing to wear. The collection was uplifting - from cool casual to puffy cashmere coats. Including some very hot and bright colors in oranges and lime greens. A very well executed fashion show with every look included. Michael knows how to dress a modern women, while keeping it down to earth, but fun as well. What a great way to end New York fashion week for fall 2009! Michael we applaud you with standing ovation my dear!

New York Fashion Week: Rodarte Fall 2009 Collection

Posted on 19 February 2009 by Jacqueline H

The Mulleavy sisters are more often than not a highlight of the week. This season, they did not disappoint their loyal following of editors and front row celebs including Kirsten Dunst and Elijah Wood (both “friends”). But I am really enjoying this very ‘futuristic’ slash ‘Blade Runner’ edge that we are seeing at this collection. I am not too sure what is inspiring designers these days. But we are for sure finally seeing us going technotronic in our clothing. With high heel leather boots that straddle up the thigh, to amazing graphic designs on the very sleek dresses. I don’t know about you, but we are for sure entering into what the ‘Mayans’ called the fifth sun cycle of 2012? Or finally our entry into space travel? Well my Aquarius mind is going array with me! I always knew I was way ahead of my time. But it looks like I am not the only one. But back to the fashion - the collection featured strong leather jackets and incredible knitwear - this season more maximal than the last. And back to those ‘thigh high boots’ - their collaboration with shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood brought their hip-high strappy boots to complement our ’star treking’ days ahead. Which I dare to say - will be quite wearable as 2009 spins into fall fashion.

New York Fashion Week: Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Collection

Posted on 18 February 2009 by Jacqueline H

Now we have to go ‘Haute Couture’ upon visiting fashion week. And my choice designer for that category is Marc Jacobs with his fall 2009 collection. To the large assembly of freezing paparazzi outside the Lexington Armory, the Marc Jacobs show kicked off with a portrayal of sculptured designs. And of course a lot of fashion composition and flare. But what are we seeing here? Fun 80’s fashion being revived? With a touch of color desperation? But wait a minute. Those colors do fair well, and bravo Marc for going all the way. I am enjoying the combinations of crushed purples, mixed with greens. Or those very bold gold and yellow numbers. But hey it works, especially for dressing the ‘young’ elite of Hollywood. This collection is bright and electric. And really what more do we expect from Marc? Then these over the top and daring designs. He really has never played it safe. But with such international recognition in the fashion world, we just could not over look this playful jester’s world.

New York Fashion Week: Monique Lhuillier Fall 2009 Collection

Posted on 16 February 2009 by Jacqueline H

I loved the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2009 collection. She channeled the “Modern Ballet Russe,” as she called it. The collection–shown in the Oak Room at the Plaza Hotel - which was chock-full of the glamorous eveningwear that Ms. Lhuillier is known for. Gorgeous, gorgeous gowns that reflected our modern era. With a futuristic touch. We are seeing a dab of every decade here influenced in the collection. From 1920’s Gatsby to 1950’s old school charm. Even a flare of Egyptian and Greek artistry, with the composition of flowing gowns. But nothing can beat the influence as I mentioned earlier with that ‘futuristic’ trend. The composition of different levels of fabrics and garments used is so apparent. So clean, and so very hip. And adds just a touch of chic, flare, and divine beauty in the gowns. Once again the colors are frequent in the creams, whites, grays, and purples. And of course ‘classic black’ dominates. Ms.Lhullier we applaud you with standing ovation for a superb and glamorous collection!

New York Fashion Week: BCBG Max Azria Fall 2009

Posted on 15 February 2009 by Jacqueline H

Bravo Max! I love this new fall 2009 collection. And I will tell you why. My predictions a few days ago were to see how designers have been affected by our current world economic events. And as you know, fashion is always a great prediction of how the ‘economic’ world is going to fare. Now I am no genie in the bottle and nether are the designers. But what I am seeing here is hope. Gorgeous gold’s, silvers, satins, and grays embrace the runway. Including creams and velvet crush blues, with lovely suede gray ankle boots. Now I say ‘hope’ because I predict an upturn in the ‘classic look’. With a lot of classic designs. Very chic indeed.
And what a great usage of gold. I am seeing a real trend here with the usage of bright metallic being incorporated in the outfit as a whole. Perfectly executed, as the gold portrays a real wonderful fashion trend that we will all being taking advantage of this year. Plus, my prediction of ‘gray’ was very apparent as well. I am really happy to see this color isn’t being overused. But truly being an accent, with the shoes, and a few key pieces. But what positive news in the fashion world! Great things lay ahead!
