Elizabeth Gillett for Spring

0 Comments 01 April 2010

Elizabeth Gillett was trained as a painter and printmaker, but she has turned her talents to designing accessories, and we’re all the better for it. Gillett specializes in scarves and wraps and favors luxurious knits, soft velvets, and rich colors. Here are some favorites from Elizabeth Gillett’s spring collection.

The Kyra coverup is made of waffle-knit spun viscose with gathers designed for a very feminine silhouette. Perfect for travel, it is available in blue, ivory, bark, and coral. This coverup would work great with a tank top and leggings or your favorite skinny jeans.

The Lucianna wrap can be worn as a scarf or tied around the shoulders as a shawl / shrug. It’s made of silk chiffon with a scalloped lace border and comes in luscious pink, ivory, blue, or black. This is a great looking accessory, sure to add a personal touch to work clothes or weekend clothes without missing a beat.

Imogen is the name for this gorgeous 100% silk coverup in a flirty tropical print. The shape is new and fresh, and the print and style would go great over one of your more casual little black dresses, or with jeans and a white or black tee.

If you’re on the fence about trying the metallic looks that are so hot right now, then the Xinia scarf in metallic silver may be the perfect item to try. Around your neck over a scoop-neck tee, it adds a slightly French touch of glamour. It can also be worn around the shoulders as the perfect wrap for evening. It comes in silver, black, or ivory and was featured in Lucky magazine in October 2009!
