This weekend’s Emmy’s proved that there were a lot of winners on the small screen…and on the red carpet! This may have been the most stylish award show in recent memory with all of the big winner’s looking every bit of the A-Lister that they are.

One thing is for sure…there were five distinct styles at the Emmy’s that the best-dressed seemed to follow…and here they are!

Ali Larter

Minnie Driver

Celebs like Ali Larter and Minnie Driver opted for solid colored satin frocks with flattering cuts and minimal jewelry.

Thigh High Slits

Heidi Klum

Jennifer Morrison

What way to better show off shapely legs than with a thigh high slit? Evoking 1940’s glamour, these dresses were sexy without being too revealing.

Sweeping Hemlines

Vanessa Williams

Kyra Sedgewick

Princess-ey hemlines ruled the red carpet, from Vanessa William’s feathery number to Kyra Sedgewick’s distressed dress.

Snake Motif

Marcia Cross

Slinky and sexy, Marcia Cross opted for a snake print dress, and other celebs like Queen Latifah and Portia de Rossi were seen with snake embellishments.

Black and White

Debra Messing

Black and white was also big on the red carpet with celebs like Sandra Oh and Christina Aguilera also opting for this shade combo. But the absolute winner of the evening had to be…

Katherine Heigl (photo source)

Evoking more old Hollywood glamour than you can shake a stick at, Katherine Heigl was a standout on the red carpet at the Emmy’s. Her red lips/blonde updo and spotless white mermaid dress combo stole the show for a simple and elegant statement.

Hope you got to check out the Emmy’s…which was YOUR favorite look?
