Lindsay Lohan wants Chanel to decorate her alcohol-monitoring bracelet
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress has to wear the SCRAM device as part of the bail conditions imposed on her by a Los Angeles court but she isn’t a fan of how it looks and has pleaded with the French fashion house to custom-design it. The troubled star tweeted: “can CHANEL please help me out by getting me some stickers to put on my scram bracelet so that i can at least wear a chic dress?! maybe!? (sic).”
However, the SCRAM bracelet is not allowed to be tampered with and if Lindsay – who has her own fashion line – gets her wish, she could be thrown in jail.
As part of her probation – which she was placed on following her second driving under the influence (DUI) conviction in 2007 – Lindsay must wear the device at all times, even though her lawyer asked to have the restrictions changed because of her work.
Her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley asked Judge Marsha Revel: “I’d like to make the court aware of a couple of things and an alternate suggestion. Miss Lohan has a number of upcoming photo shoots and she’ll be continuing to film a movie in Texas. The SCRAM device would interfere with all of that. Miss Lohan is not, however, getting out of being monitored. For that reason, our alternative suggestion is that she be randomly tested for drugs and alcohol.”
However, the judge ruled: “She needs to submit to random drug testing here, not in Texas. I want no excuse for her to say it’s random when it’s not…I’m afraid she’s going to have to delay filming for now.”
Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen
Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen at the UK premiere of ‘Sex and the City 2′ last night (27.05.10).
The actress – who plays fashion-conscious Carrie Bradshaw in the big-screen version of the TV series – donned a black armband and wore a stunning strapless dress, which she teamed with shoes and a clutch bag, which were all from the tragic designer’s collection.
She said of her choice: “There’s only person I could have worn tonight and that was Alexander McQueen.”
She also wore a Philip Treacy ‘Cloud’ hat, which was covered with Swarovski crystals.
McQueen committed suicide in February and the 45-year-old star has since spoken about her admiration for him. Of his creations, she said: “Every single inspired, original, lofty, whimsical, stunning, brilliant and jaw dropping detail was Alexander McQueen.”
Parker was joined on the red carpet by her co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who all impressed with their fashion choices. Kim, 53, looked the epitome of old school Hollywood glamour in a vintage Thierry Mugler strapless black gown, while 45-year-old Kristin opted for a stunning Norman Novello gold empire line gown. Cynthia, 44, wore a turquoise Narciso Rodriguez dress and had extensions put into her normally short hair.
Diane Kruger thinks of Karl Lagerfeld as her “stepfather”
The stunning actress has a very close relationship with the Chanel designer and says she loves working with him.
She told vogue.com: “He is like a stepfather to me. We’re very close- we just get on so well. He is a very curious person, he’s very interested in people in general. I’ve known him since I was 16-years-old, ever since I first started to model and he has always been so kind. We go way back. People have said I am his muse but I don’t think I’d call myself that. It’s not how I think of our relationship. That’s big. It’s hard to describe Karl, he really is one of a kind.”
The 33-year-old beauty loves Karl’s designs for Chanel because they are so
She said: “What’s not to love about Chanel? It’s timeless, it’s chic. I don’t know many people that don’t like it. I love it.” While she is a devoted Chanel fan, Diane is also an admirer of Calvin Klein and was recently announced as the new face of the fashion house’s latest fragrance, Beauty.
