Get the Look for Less: Jessica Alba

0 Comments 19 April 2011

You know those spring days when the calendar confirms that it is indeed spring, but the weather apparently didn’t get the memo yet? Well, the key to look great in your new spring clothes without freezing is having on hand a terrific scarf in a light neutral color. It’s an accessory, but one that has the practical side effect of keeping your neck warm. Jessica Alba has been seen several times in an oversized ombré Brunello Cucinelli scarf that works great for chilly spring days.

Now, it’s perfectly understandable if you don’t have the $530 it takes to get one just like hers. But no worries: you can get a terrific similar oversized spring scarf for under $50. AK Anne Klein makes a gorgeous ombré scarf that’s available in black or chive, both great neutrals.

For casual days with old jeans, wearing this scarf is pretty much a no-brainer: toss it around your neck and go. For more formal looks, wrap it neatly and tuck the ends in so that it forms a cozy cowl neckline. Scarves like this one are one of the best fashion accessories for spring, effortlessly bridging cooler and warmer weather.
