Get The Look: Zac Efron’s Red Carpet Classic Slick Back Hairstyle

0 Comments 18 April 2012

Amy Komorowski, Men’s Celebrity Hair Stylist and Grooming Expert for AXE Hair, has provided a few tips on how to imitate Zac Efron’s look and suggests using AXE Hair Smooth and Sophisticated Look Pomade to achieve it. AXE Smooth & Sophisticated Look Shine Pomade is the perfect product for this style as both provides shine and long-lasting control. The look can be worn two ways: with a side part or slicked back. Both are classic, timeless, and perfect for dinner dates with a special friend or to top off your white party outfit this year!

Steps to Achieve Look:

Side Part

Take a fingertip amount of pomade, rub product in the palm of the hand to warm it and break it up. Spread from front to back making sure to get the entire head.

Find the side that works best for your face and use a comb to create a razor-sharp part from forehead to crown of head.

Use fingers to finish off the look by fixing/smoothing down any stray hairs along the part and at the crown of the head.

Slicked Back

While hair is nearly dry, take a fingertip amount of pomade, rub product in the palm of the hand.

Spread from front to back making sure to get the entire head.

Use fingers like a comb and run hands from front to back, making sure to get the sides as well and “comb” hair off the face. If hair is a bit longer on the sides, tuck any stray hairs behind the ears.

This action can also be done with a comb, which will create a slightly more tailored look that is great for evening.

If needed, add a bit more pomade to set the look. Guys may need additional product in front where the hair is combed off the face.

Both of these looks (side part and slicked back) can work in the day or at night!
