Gwen Stefani Only Designs Clothes She would Wear

0 Comments 06 November 2010

Gwen Stefani, whose fashion industry line L.A.M.B. has become a huge success in the past few years, says that she has always designed and made clothes, but she won’t add anything to her professional collection that she wouldn’t wear herself. Stefani told heat magazine, “”The greatest thing about designing for me is that I get to make something that I’m actually going to wear.”

Stefani, who considers her clothes “like a piece of art, a whole story,” tells stories with her music as well as with her inimitable fashion style. She and fellow No Doubt band members are currently working with students in the L.A. Philharmonic’s Composer Fellowship Program to create an orchestral piece inspired by No Doubt’s songs “Simple Kind of Life,” “Suspension without Suspense,” and “Rock Steady.” The piece will be performed by the orchestra next February.
