Many working stiffs around the world can now take small comfort in knowing that they’re not as deeply in a financial hole as Lindsay Lohan. The starlet reportedly fell behind on her rent by $23,000 before getting caught up, and she is now reported to have some $600,000 in credit card debt, meaning that if she pays the minimum every month, she’ll finally finish paying it off when she’s approximately 179 years old.
She’s also having to put up with a bit of celebrity smack-talking by Celebrity Rehab doctor Drew Pinsky, who is so convinced of Lohan’s drug problems that he said in a letter to The Huffington Post website, “When I was asked as a father, if I were in Michael Lohan’s position, what would I do to help my daughter, I am clear that I would go to any lengths to get her to and retain her in treatment.” This apparently included planting drugs on her so that she would be arrested.
Lohan’s real father, Michael Lohan, has plenty of other stuff to think about, including a tax lien of approximately $12,000. Lohan’s defense is that he was in prison during the times the IRS says he was delinquent. He also has a wedding to plan, having become engaged to Kate Major, who is the ex-girlfriend of Jon Gosselin, father of eight and ex-husband to Dancing With the Stars contestant Kate Gosselin.
When she learned her father’s exciting news, Lindsay’s first reaction to UsMagazine.com was, “I’m gonna vomit.”
