With a fashion style nearly as influential as her music, pop star Rihanna is once again setting fashion trends, with a great vintage 50s look that’s ladylike and unapologetically pretty. Even though we saw quite a lot of edgy, 80s style glamour in 2010, the new year appears to be ushering in a more feminine look, with defined waists, floral prints, and heels coming on big for spring and summer.
Though the ripped jeans / high-tops look is still a solid, long term trend, cute dresses and high heels are making an appearance, reflecting a more womanly look. We’ve seen the trend on celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman, too. Fashion designers like Versace, Gucci, and Victoria Beckham are reflecting the womanly trend in their designs for 2011.
