As we get into the height of the summer, it looks like we might be in for a hot one. With that in mind, I’ve been finding that my wardrobe is in drastic need of some weather-appropriate dresses and tops. Spring is very much a transitional season, so outfits needed to be adaptable to typically changeable English elements! But now that we’ve reached the sunny season, I’ve found that wrapping up in too many layers just isn’t practical.
Not being a fan of braving the high street at the best of times, I’ve become a devout online shopping convert this season. I managed to find some stunning women’s tops and maxi dresses in the Freemans catalogue for a great price.
When it comes to clothes shopping, my holy grail is a comfortable fit that looks stylish enough for work or a social event, but casual enough for everyday use without feeling overdressed. This Together Flower Print Top was a really beautiful deep blue that really complements my skin tone. It’s a flattering cut too, and looks fantastic over leggings or jeans.
For a glamorous yet office-friendly look, I also picked up a Laura Scott Gemstones Top in emerald. I find that this top works well with a skirt and heels, while the studded straps are really eye-catching and represent a perfect opportunity for a little accessorising.
I’m also a huge fan of maxi-dresses, which I find ideal for more formal occasions and nights out. So I also picked up a beautiful AX Paris Printed Maxi Dress. I love the printed design and waterfall detail, and again very flattering to my curves!
The great thing about online shopping is that you can shop at your own pace, without feeling overwhelmed by choice or pressured into getting something. You also avoid the dreaded changing room mirrors. I may never step into a store again!
