Someone forgot to tell Anna Sui that the 80′s/goth/manga revival was SO 2002. This collection does nothing for me but make me yawn.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love avante garde fashion just as much as your super cool college roomate. I’ll have tea with John Galliano and Betsey Johnson any day. But this just completely misses the mark.

It’s almost as if Anna went “Hmmm…what is so completely out of the loop and old enough that people will think it’s new again? I’ve got it! Hot pink socks with strappy heels and matching hot pink and blonde hair via Gwen Stefani circa 2001. Genius!”

Not that I’m saying that there aren’t any elements of this collection that I don’t like (some of the dresses are pretty cute), it just seems like she was going for over the top and came out like Britney Spears at the VMA’s; tired and utterly forgettable (sorry, couldn’t resist).

Keep checking with us for more fab fashion week coverage…we’ll pick out the goodies so you don’t have to.
