The 12-day Cannes Film Festival is in full swing with its customary roster of critical and popular favorite films, directors, and actors. It’s also a fashion editor’s dream, with event after event providing material for plenty of public critique and praise. Designers prominently represented this year in Cannes included Karl Lagerfield (wearing a shiny blue jacket), Giorgio Armani, and Roberto Cavalli.
Perhaps it’s the beauty of southern France in the spring that gets everyone loosened up and in a good mood, but something about Cannes gives people the freedom, or the nerve to wear things they wouldn’t wear to the Oscars or Golden Globe Awards.
Ashton Kutcher’s latest film after What Happens in Vegas is an action comedy called Five Killers in which Kutcher plays an ex-hit man who discovers that someone in his past has paid a group of murderers for hire to kill him. Stills from the set have him looking retro cool in Ray Ban Wayfarers and classic white tees and button downs.
Besides the actors, actresses, and directors present for the actual films, there were still plenty of “famous for being famous” celebrities to be found. Socialite Paris Hilton was photographed with Johnny Hallyday, a popular French singer and actor, and stars like Eva Longoria were seen having a great time at the Nikki Beach Lifestyle Party.
