0 Comments 19 July 2011

There’s a trend that we’ve been loving for all season and that’s the high-waisted look!

It’s flattering on all as it hides a bit of belly bulge, while seriously elongating the legs. Whether you want to go chic and sophisticated with a pair of high-waisted trousers or flirty and femme with a skirt, this trend is always a stylish choice.

We’ve caught up with some of the biggest style bloggers out there to see their take on the high-waisted trend!

Vicki from Magpie Girl – ‘The high waisted trend is one of my favourite trends and a firm staple in my wardrobe! It is the easiest trend to adapt to all body types, it enables you to take a simple tee or loose shirt and cinch it in at the waist giving you a completely different look. I love the fact that it works well with my proportions and its so simple and easy.’

Bethany from Snakes Nest – High waisted shorts are perfect for summer! Pair it with a simple tank and lots of funky accessories! Take a cue from Bethany and opt for a pair in a bold color for a real fashion statement!

Konstantina from Lookbook – ‘High-waisted pants! A true gift to women! So feminine and perfect for all kind of bodies! Also the best way to ‘cheat’ about your height. What more could a woman ask for? So enjoy the summer and pretend to be a Sailor Girl! Love and flirt is the only thing you will get!’

Anais from The Time Is Grey – ‘I love high-waisted pants … this is the ultimate item of my wardrobe. It always makes your silhouette perfect, your legs longer and your curves just where it is supposed to be. I can’t stop wearing it for day and night!’

Liz from Late Afternoon – Long skirts are so in right now and choosing a high-waisted version gives extra ‘chic’ points. Do like Liz and try a metallic finish for a little glitz and glam for day!
