Summer Sporty – How to look Chic and Sleek this Summer

0 Comments 01 June 2012

With the biggest sporting event of the summer just around the corner, it’s time to decide if you’re going to enter into the spirit of things and go sporty or if you want to watch from the wings and stay chic. Sportswear fashion is strutting its way down the catwalk, but don’t worry. It is not all sweaty football tops or clumpy trainers. Sport just got stylish and there is something for every taste this season. I’ve put together two outfits to suit those who want to mix and match the sportswear trend and those who want to go all out!

If watching sports whilst sipping champagne and eating strawberries and cream is more your thing then this outfit is the perfect choice. The high waisted trousers are 2-tone black and navy and are super tailored for a chic look that can even be worn to the office. A fine knit sweater is perfect for the changeable British weather and is brilliantly off-set by the bright blue clutch. Plain, but killer pumps are a must have wardrobe staple and give you every excuse to not get too involved in sporty antics! Gold jewellery gives this outfit a more glamorous edge and the Alexander McQueen ring adds a bit of British punk to the whole ensemble.

If you were dazzled by the return of neon you will love this bright and sporty little number. With neon pink tailored trousers you won’t fail to be seen by the side of the track and the silk Raoul top will keep you cool whilst cheering the Brits along. A large tote, such as the Sporty Drew by Diane Von Furstenberg, is ideal for storing picnic rugs and other essentials for a summer day at the games and the sandals are flat and comfortable with a gorgeous metallic vibe. Team GB would be proud of the accessories with a bright scarf in a flowery print and a Monica Vinader bracelet which you can wear knowing your money has gone to a very worthwhile charity – Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
