Anne Hathaway, the 26-year-old star of Bride Wars and the upcoming Valentine’s Day recently confessed that her favorite design house is Chanel, and it’s such a favorite that she would even buy a dress she didn’t like if it came from the legendary Parisian design house. She told Britain’s Now magazine that she is “completely irrational when it comes to their clothes.” But when it comes to everyday fashion, Anne’s role model is the Oscar winning British actress Kate Winslet, describing her as “always so down to earth, but also really chic.” She went on to say what an amazing actress Winslet is and that audiences “become so lost in her movies.”

Hathaway was recently chosen as the face of Lancome’s Magnifique fragrance. She said she was one of the fragrances biggest fans. “I love the smell of fresh roses” she told Now.

The actress is busy filming Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles under the direction of Garry Marshall. For the movie, she learned how to ride a motor scooter as part of a comic scene. Valentine’s Day is a story of intertwining couples and single people in L.A. who break up and make up because of the expectations and pressures of the holiday Valentine’s Day. Her love interest in the movie is played by Topher Grace.

Sunday night at Radio City Music Hall in New York, Anne Hathaway rocked the red carpet at the Tony Awards in a black, strapless dress by Oscar de la Renta that featured a feather print top. Red satin heels and understated jewelry completed the look. The Tonys were lucky to have her there, considering how busy Hathaway’s schedule is these days

In addition to her upcoming role as Judy Garland in a biopic called Get Happy, Hathaway will once again co-star with Jake Gyllenhaal in a new movie called Love and Other Drugs. The movie is based on a nonfiction book by Jamie Reidy titled Hard Sell: Confessions of a Viagra Salesman. Ed Zwick is set to direct. In the movie, Hathaway will play a Parkinson’s disease patient who is wooed by Gyllenhaal’s version of Reidy. Hathaway and Gyllenhaal starred together in the movie Brokeback Mountain.

The movie is reported to be a critique of the American pharmaceutical industry. In the 1990s, Reidy was, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “the Jerry McGuire of the prescription drug world.” The movie takes place in the 90s and plays out according to the politics and general zeitgeist of the time.

Hathaway was at one time scheduled to star opposite Tobey Maguire in the movie Tokyo Suckerpunch, but she could not make her busy schedule match up to Maguire’s. In addition to her role as Garland, Hathaway is also set to star in the upcoming Get Smart 2.
