Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West once again showed why he’s rapidly turning into a has-been. In a moment that some say was staged, West interrupted the acceptance speech of young singer Taylor Swift, took the mike from her, and opined that Beyonce should have won the category rather than Swift. He left Swift dumbfounded on the stage, while Beyonce sat in the audience, clearly incredulous at West’s behavior.
Once they realized what was going on, the audience booed West as he left the stage. He got his second helping of comeuppance later in the evening when Beyonce was awarded the coveted top award “Video of the Year.” Fortunately, she was far classier than West, yielding her stage time to Taylor Swift so that she could properly give her acceptance speech.
West later issued a semi-appropriate apology via his blog (while still insisting that Beyonce’s video should have won), but to VMA fans, it was far too little, too late. Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill posted on his Twitter account, “At least we got to see the worst haircut since 1984 try to steal the spotlight from lovely Taylor Swift.”

Beyonc?ɬ© and Tina Knowles are looking to capitalize more on Sasha Fierce.?¢‚Ǩ¬®?¢‚Ǩ¬®Utilizing the name of the singer?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s alter ego and third solo album, ?¢‚Ǩ?ìI Am?¢‚Ǩ¬¶Sasha Fierce,?¢‚Ǩ¬ù the mother and daughter design team plans to launch a new junior apparel label, Sasha Fierce for Der?ɬ©on, for back-to-school selling.
The collection, which is inspired by Beyonc?ɬ©?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s stage presence (she is on a world tour through November), includes a full range of sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry. Positioned to sit alongside the company?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Der?ɬ©on junior label, which is similarly priced, the line has so far been picked up by department stores including Macy?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s and Dillard?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s and specialty stores Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds.

Sure, Beyonc?ɬ© always looks great, and there?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a good reason why besides genetics: she has an enormous wardrobe to choose from. The singer-actress recently revealed that she turned her old apartment into a closet to hold all her clothes. She comes by her love of clothes honestly, too, with her mother Tina being a fashion designer.
Plus, as a huge A-list star, Beyonc?ɬ© receives a bunch of clothes for free. Designers hope that she will be photographed wearing their designs or carrying their handbag because the publicity makes for great advertising.
Beyonc?ɬ© says that she gets over a dozen handbags sent to her every month, including an enormous crocodile bag from Armani and that she ?¢‚Ǩ?ìcould only imagine how much that thing cost.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
She recently announced that at the end of her current Sasha Fierce tour near the end of the year she is considering taking a two year break from work. The ?¢‚Ǩ?ìCrazy in Love?¢‚Ǩ¬ù singer married rap artist Jay-Z last year, and seriously misses his company when the two have to be apart. She told Marie Claire magazine that she has decals of her husband?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s image that she wears on her nails so that she can see his face at any time.

While the real Beyonc?ɬ© was in Vienna, Austria as part of her Sasha Fierce World Tour, a local radio station accompanied an imposter look-alike around Vienna on Tuesday as an experiment to see how people would act when in the close presence of the superstar.
A prankster from Krona Hit Radio called The Albertina Museum to announce that they would be soon receiving a very famous visitor. Workers at the museum said that half an hour later a limousine drove up, and a woman in wraparound sunglasses emerged surrounded by five beefy bodyguards. Screaming fans were also present.
According to Museum spokesperson Verena Dahlitz, other celebrities like Nicolas Cage and Brad Pitt have visited there, so they weren?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t entirely taken by surprise at having a celebrity guest. Dahlitz said she had her doubts that the person who got out of the limo was the real Beyonc?ɬ©, saying that she was too thin and lacked the real singer?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s curvy figure. Also, she never took off her sunglasses, avoided eye contact, and ?¢‚Ǩ?ìacted strangely.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
During all the commotion at the museum, the real Beyonc?ɬ© was spotted elsewhere in town. She was shopping at a nearby H&M clothing store.

Having conquered the worlds of music and film, multitalented star Beyonce says she wants to work on Broadway in a few years. The star is busy promoting her new movie Obsessed, and in an interview in New York, she said she would love to settle down, have children, cut back on touring, and make her debut on Broadway. The more regular working hours would be an added bonus, she told Reuters.
In her new movie, 27-year-old Beyonce plays Sharon Charles, a woman who takes on a stalker. But the stalker isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t after her, but her husband. This is Beyonce?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s first non-musical movie role in a while. In recent years she had singing roles in Dreamgirls and Cadillac Records.
Besides promoting her movie and dreaming of starring on Broadway, the singer is also beginning her I Am ?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ world tour in Croatia. She?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s sold more than 50 million albums all over the world, and the tour, she says, is ?¢‚Ǩ?ìreally theatrical.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù All her hit singles will be featured in the tour.
The only recent glitch Beyonce has had to deal with lately is a doctored video that popped up on YouTube, purportedly featuring un-altered audio of a very off-key rendition of the song ?¢‚Ǩ?ìIf I were a Boy.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù The creator of the video recently admitted that he doctored the audio to make it sound bad, and removed the video from YouTube.

Pop megastar Beyonc?ɬ© Knowles has revealed to L.A. Confidential Magazine that husband Jay-Z is the only man she?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s been in a serious relationship with. She dated the rapper from 2002 until 2008, when the pair married.
She credits the long relationship with helping create a strong marriage, telling L.A. Confidential, ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWe were together for a really long time before we got married; we were in no rush.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
Knowles also recently acknowledged that she is planning a 2009 world tour, to begin later this month in Canada. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said that the tour includes dates in the U.K., Ethiopia, Japan, Brazil, and the U.S. During the tour, Knowles will be accompanied at each show by the same all-female band that backed her in her 2007 tour.
