Frederic Fekkai Celebrity Stylist, Adir Abergel styled for the Teen Choice Awards. Adir was inspired by 60’s Rock and Roll pompadour with a spiky ponytail.
Inspiration:
60’s Rock and Roll pompadour with a spiky ponytail.
How To Get The Look:
Adir first started out by applying the FEKKAI COIFF™ Nonchalant Piecing & Foaming Wax to the palm his hands and then added the FEKKAI COIFF™ Extra Control Styling Gel for extra texture and shine. He applied this to her damp hair until it was full saturated.
To get the right texture with short layered haircut like Kristen’s, you must apply enough products until you get it to look right and feels right. It is important to fully saturate the hair with product.
Once the product was in the hair he took a blow-drier and hand dried into his desired style, directing all the hair with his fingers back to the nape of her neck.
To finish the look, he took the back of the hair and pulled it into a twisted ponytail letting the ends out and then spraying the front with the FEKKAI Sheer Hold Hairspray. Make sure to leave random pieces out for a more chill vibe.
Products all FEKKAI: COIFF™ Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax ($23) COIFF™ Extra Control Styling Gel ($23). Sheer Hold Hair Spray ($23) Available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Fekkai.com

Davida Hall, with help from celebrity stylist Simone Harouche, has taken three celebrity looks: Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie, and Avril Lavigne, and demonstrated how those of us with more modest budgets can achieve the great looks without the big pricetags. With Davida’s Shopflick Hall of Style, you’ll be ready to glam it up this summer with flair. All dresses pictured below are available through Shopflick.

The Christina Aguilera look is based on the classic American 1950’s pinup style, with eye-catching shoes, and form fitting dresses. This Mansfield by Stop Staring black halter dress features a slim fit, a halter tie, and cut-outs. Teamed with a pair of bright patent finish shoes and big sunglasses, the look is old school Hollywood at its best. $142.00

Nicole Richie’s style is slightly more bohemian. Now that she’s a mom, she wants to be comfortable for all the million tasks that bringing up a baby requires. This Candace Held “Vivian” green halter dress is made from vintage silk scarves. It features an empire waist and asymmetrical hem. $282.00

Avril Lavigne has more of a punk rock look, and she also has a very slim figure, meaning she can get away with volume and detail that might not work on a more curvaceous body. She can also wear dresses that are shorter than what many of us are comfortable with. But this look can be paired with black opaque tights to feel more covered up. This JL Marks Fringe Dress in bright pink is a great choice for the Avril Lavigne style. It is super short, with exaggerated fringe. Worn with a vintage 80s-look belt and black patent leather platform pumps, this is punk at its edgy-feminine peak. $270.00
