Stefani and her husband Gavin Rossdale are the parents of three-year-old Kingston as well as little Zuma. On her summer tour with No Doubt, Stefani has worn updated versions of the twisted pony tails and cropped tops that were her style when the band first started.

One thing that was probably on many people’s mind when they saw Gwen Stefani perform in Los Angeles with band No Doubt was, “How did she get in such amazing shape?” The mother of two has a baby of less than a year old, and yet had abs that would make a 20-year-old proud. Stefani turns 40 in October.

At the summer reunion tour show at Gibson Amphitheatre, Stefani sported baggy pants, a tiny top cropped to reveal her taught tummy, and knee-high boots. Son Zuma was born 11 months ago. In a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar, she talked about getting in shape after having a child. She says it takes a lot of hard work, but nursing helps, saying, “your metabolism is like, whoosh!”
