One Shoulder Dresses

The fun thing about summer is that even on dress-up occasions, you can still get away with an element of fun. One of the pieces that exemplifies this is this Kelly B Alana One-Shoulder Dress. In elegant, goes-with-everything black, this one-shouldered beauty has a double layer ruffle in front and over the shoulder. It is made from luxurious 92% hemp, 8% spandex (dress) and 90% Modal 10% silk (ruffle). $128

Marc by Marc Jacobs Handbags

The Posh Turnlock Dot handbag from Marc by Marc Jacobs is a different look for a summer handbag, in stone-colored crinkled shiny leather. It is large enough to hold all your gear: iPhone, Blackberry, lipstick, sunglasses, wallet, and even a bottle of water. The platform bottom has feet to protect the bag from scuffs. Dual handles drop by 6 inches, and the bag is also available in indigo blue. The top zips shut, and the front flap pocket has a signature Marc by Marc Jacobs turnlock. $375.00

Hoop Earrings

With your hair in a summer-perfect updo and with the one-shouldered dress, your neck and shoulders will be emphasized. You can add even more glamour with the right pair of earrings, like these Melissa Joy Manning Triangle Hoop Earrings in 14K yellow gold. This is a new take on the classic hoop earring, with a rounded triangle shape. The diameter at the widest point measures 1 ½ inches. $163

When it comes to style, Eva is anything but desperate…

Dressed in a slimming wrap dress and carrying a Gustto ‘Bonba’ clutch, Eva Longoria Parker looked effortlessly chic at Beso on Friday night.  Paired with delicate hoops, Eva’s beautifully-detailed beige clutch added a touch of understated elegance to her classic ensemble.  Eva is a growing fan of Gustto handbags.  Fergie, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Isla Fisher, AnnaLynne McCord, , Emmy Rossum, Paris Hilton and Michelle Trachtenberg are just a few of Gustto’s hot Hollywood followers.

James Piatt Handbags: Arm Yourself with Fabulous Fashion

Posted on 27 October 2008 by Angelique

PeaceKeeper 400, $85.00

Pursuader in silver leather, $379.00

Tinkerbell, $317.00

It’s a tough world out their…but looking fabulous and fierce is a sign of our times. Enter James Piatt handbags, truly some of the most one of a kind designs on the market today. Not just pretty, Piatt’s bags offer poignant commentary about violence, celebrity, and yes, fashion.

It all started with Piatt’s “Peacekeeper” bag, which was created by Piatt as a gift for a friend. Featuring a brass knuckle-like handle, this haut handbag is more than just a place to put your lip gloss, but a way to protect yourself. Like all good ideas, word about the Peacekeeper flourished and now Piatt has a team to help him create his unique vision.

In all honesty, I can’t believe that I haven’t seen some celebrity pictured with Piatt’s “Pursuader” bag. While I wouldn’t encourage someone to bring it to school, this gun-shaped bag is luxe and edgy at the same time.

Not for the faint of heart, Piatt also offers the “Tinkerbell” bag, which is entirely more than meets the eye. Based on Paris Hilton’s discarded Chihuaha of the same name, this grim yet intriguing design feaures, yes, a dead chihuaha. “This design capitalizes on the trend of carrying a small dog as an accessory,” (source ).  I think that I love the “X”’s over his eyes the best.

Check out James Piatt’s website to find out more about these bags, peruse his art or see his super cool gallery with these bags featuring hot Russian-esque chicks and war scenese (love).
