Actress Jennifer Aniston dazzles in a silver mini dress at the premiere of ‘Love Happens’ in Los Angeles at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, California. She knows she looks good, pulls funny faces and shows off her long toned legs for the photographers.

The new romantic comedy Love Happens, starring Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston opens Friday in the U.S. The movie concerns a self help guru who falls for a florist. Two writers, Greg Crowder and Tony Freitas are suing Universal because the studio allegedly stole the idea for the movie from them.

Crowder says he presented the scripts under the working title The Truth to Scott Bernstein in 2006. Bernstein said that the script needed a rewrite, but wouldn’t pay for one. In 2009, Crowder submitted a rewritten script to another studio. That studio told Crowder they were concerned that he might have stolen the script for Love Happens.

In the movie, a best selling self help author presents a sold out seminar at a hotel in which Aniston’s character Eloise owns a florist’s shop. The two meet, and Eloise discovers that though he presents a strong facade to the world, this self-help star, played by Aaron Eckhart, is unable to take his own advice.

The movie made its premiere in L.A. Tuesday night. Both stars attended, with Aniston wearing a long sleeved silver mini dress paired with matching silver sandals. She also appeared on The Tonight Show to promote the movie, in this case wearing a classic black mini dress that made the most of her toned and tan legs.

After having split up a few weeks ago, singer John Mayer and Jennifer Anniston appear to be still feeling the pain. On a fan cruise to Mexico, Mayer debuted one of the new tracks for his upcoming CD Battle Studies. On-board the Mayercraft Carrier 2, fans listened to the new song featuring lyrics like, “Drop his name, push it in and twist the knife again; Watch my face as I pretend to feel no pain, pain, pain.”

The track, titled “Heartbreak Warfare” doesn’t mention Aniston by name, but in the YouTube audio clip, Mayer tells the crowd of 3,000, “Sometimes instead of saying ‘I love you,’ people can’t recognize that. They recognize how much you come to their aid when they are in pain.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston wasn’t in any great mood either as she started work on her upcoming film The Baster, in which she stars with Jason Bateman. While shooting in Greenwich Village, Aniston kept to herself during breaks from work, and was said to hold up filming the first day to make sure her hair was blow-dried correctly.

Hot is relative, my dear. Look at Jennifer Aniston, poor little spud-faced thing. Eyes like a Siberian husky, she has. And yet some people just adore her looks, and think she’s a Greek goddess in the manner of Aphrodite or Persephone. Then there’s Sarah Jessica Parker. Someone at Vogue must have thought she was pretty, because they put her on the cover a few months back.

Same deal with designer dresses and accessories. One person’s hideous is another person’s irresistible. Otherwise, how do we explain ScarJo in that scary red-orange dress on the left that makes her look like a roadside warning cone? Or Jennifer Hudson in that space bolero at the Oscars? We don’t. That’s how.

But you can’t blame only the designer for creating an ugly dress. What about the middlemen? The minions? Find out who the real sinners are when it comes to bad red carpet looks, after the jump.
For the uninitiated, celebrities loathe any kind of hard labor. In Hollywood, cooking counts as hard labor. So does picking an outfit for the red carpet. Stars rarely do that themselves, instead relying on a hot stylists, like Jennifer Rade (Angelina Jolie) or Maria Serra, who is credited with getting Gwyneth Paltrow to finally show off her gams.

Stylists, in turn, have favorite, pet designers—clothiers they consider brilliant artists, good friends, or powerful benefactors who should never be told “no.” In those cases, I am told, stylists often take whatever the designer hands them and turn right around and slap it on the hapless celeb.

In other instances, “the designers give the stylist something for free, and the stylist feels obligated to put that on the client,” says fashionista Folake Kuye, who helped create the look for a Britney Spears video as well as magazine shoots before turning to her own fashion label, WeWe.

The celebrities, meanwhile, rarely question stylists’ choices.

“They prefer to rely on their stylists to make them look good,” Kuye says. “Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn’t.”
