According to antivirus software provider McAfee, searching and clicking on links for Jessica Biel is more likely to open your computer to spyware and viruses than searching on any other celebrity. Last year’s top virus attractor was Brad Pitt. Runners-up in the dubious honor include Beyonce, Tom Brady, Jessica Simpson, and Jennifer Aniston.

Hackers attach malicious computer code to websites about certain celebrities. When a celebrity skyrockets in popularity, hackers can target many more people. Antivirus software is essential to running a computer these days. It doesn’t have to be McAfee, but computer users who frequent celebrity websites should try to stay a step ahead of the malicious software that often gets attached to those sites by installing and using anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Getting rid of the viruses themselves can be very frustrating.

On the other side of the issue, those who dislike McAfee for its ability to cause computer slow-downs and for what they believe to be McAfee’s obsolete technology say that searching celebrity sites isn’t the problem, but rather using archaic anti-virus programs like McAfee lead users into thinking their PC is safe when it isn’t.

Jessica Biel, formerly from long-running TV series 7th Heaven, is having quite a career moment right now. Oh yeah, and she’s recently moved in with musician/actor Justin Timberlake. But in a recent interview with Allure magazine, she says, “I have no idea if I want to get married. I have a lot to do, career-wise.” She describes herself as “very ambitious.”

The ambition is paying off in better movie roles like in the new movie Easy Virtue, based on a play by Noel Coward. The only American in the cast, Biel plays the new wife of proper English gentleman John Whittaker, played by Ben Barnes, and is drawing very good reviews.

Her character, Larita, is a modern American woman in the post-World War I era who drives a race car, smokes cigarettes, and generally causes all manner of scandal around her. Kristen Scott-Thomas plays her mother-in-law, with a shrewdness that matches Larita’s.

The movie is directed by Stephen Elliott, perhaps best known for The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. In Easy Virtue, he gives us big band versions of songs like Tom Jones’ “Sex Bomb” So it’s no overly-serious award chasing period piece.

“I looked at a lot of old Katherine Hepburn movies for that kill ‘em with a smile, fantastic, witty, dry delivery,” said Biel in an interview with MTV. Apparently the hard work paid off well, because reviews of Easy Virtue are glowing.

It seems that stories of families disliking the significant others of stars are the norm these days, what with Lindsay Lohan’s former relationship with Sam Ronson and Rihanna’s problems with Chris Brown. But Justin Timberlake’s family is said to genuinely like his girlfriend Jessica Biel. Jessica and Justin’s mom were photographed shopping at Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs in New York City last weekend like long-time gal pals.

Biel is busy with her new gig as Revlon’s Goodwill Ambassador. Her first assignment was taking part in last week’s New York City Run/Walk for Women. She is also in talks to be in an ensemble movie called Valentine’s Day to be directed by Garry Marshall. The all star cast includes Julia Roberts playing an army officer on leave from Iraq, and Ashton Kutcher, who proposes to his girlfriend played by Jessica Alba, even though he is in love with his best friend played by Jennifer Garner. Shirley MacLaine is set to play the mother of Julia Roberts’ character, and Anne Hathaway is being considered for the part of a talent agency assistant who dates a mailroom worker. The mailroom worker is yet to be cast.

In the movie, Biel would play “a publicists who is unlucky in love,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

The rumor count is two to one in saying that actress Jessica Biel and musician/actor Justin Timberlake are having problems in their relationship. One friend of Biel reports, “Things are not going as smoothly as they would want people to think they are.”

One of Timberlake’s friends has said, “I can always sense when Justin is beginning to get itchy in a relationship.”

The itchiness is apparently perceived as similar to that leading up to the breakup between Timberlake and Cameron Diaz, and Timberlake and Britney Spears. Both sources report that Timberlake believes Biel to be a little “too controlling.”

However, a friend of the couple denies the rumors: “I know they are both very good actors, but I truly think their feelings for each other haven’t changed.”

The couple recently bought a flat in New York together. Timberlake, 28, and Biel, 27, have been a couple for about two years.
