Pop singer Lily Allen is a huge fan of the Australian soap Neighbours, and last week she filmed a cameo role as herself while on the Melbourne leg of her current tour, called “It’s Not Me, It’s You.” She performed two tour dates at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre last week as part of the concert tour.
Allen revealed in May that she had been asked to make an appearance on the show, of which she is a big fan. After the shoot last week, she Twittered: “Ok, so I did my scene. Me and doctor Karl get our flirt on.”
While she was on the set, she had her picture taken holding up the famous “Ramsey Street” sign, surrounded by the entire cast of the show and posted it to Twitter as well. The air date for the episode in the UK has not been decided yet.
Though the appearance on Neighbors was a dream come true for the talented 24-year-old singer, sources close to Allen say that she gets lonely on tour and wishes she had a boyfriend to accompany her. She had been seeing art dealer Jay Jopling early in the year, but the two are no longer together. In the past she has also been linked with Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers, and DJ Seb Chew.

Model Kate Moss and musician Lily Allen have become close friends in recent weeks. Back in 2007, Moss and Allen were thought to be feuding over their respective clothing collections. Moss designs for TopShop, and Allen designed a collection for rival store New Look.
But if the two were feuding, it is clearly in the past. After a night out Thursday at Allen’s London gig, the two went back to Allen’s north London house. Later on, they went to Moss’s house, where Allen was spotted leaving at 4:30 in the morning, smoking a cigarette.
The friendship between Moss and Allen is believed to have begun in January when Moss invited Allen over to her house after a Camden show. Then, the two were seen together at the Chanel fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.
Moss is said to be distracting herself by going out most nights now that her boyfriend Jamie Hince has left on a world tour with band The Kills starting in early March.
Allen denies that there ever was a feud between the two over their clothing lines. In fact, she said that several years ago at the Glastonbury Festival Moss stood up for her against a crowd of bullies who were beating Allen.
