Lindsay Lohan’s father, apparently unhappy at the lack of attention he’s been getting in the press, released an audio recording of a phone conversation under the guise of being concerned about his daughter’s sometimes out-of-control life. The tape was released to Radar Online and purportedly revealed that mom Dina Lohan was punched and kicked out of the car when she tried to intervene last year and get Lindsay to go to rehab.

Another call published this week supposedly has Lindsay sobbing and saying, “No one cares about me.”

Lawyers have been called, and Lohan has taken to Twitter to express her feelings on the matter, tweeting “Good news is, I haven’t called him many times @all-so it will end sooner rather than later!!! Lol”

Another tweet said, “Its so sad that I even have to share this w/everyone, but I haven’t had a real relationship w/Michael Sr. in years. That is the truth.”

The 23-year-old actress referred on Twitter to her dad as a “lunatic,” and has reportedly been considering getting a restraining order against him.

Papa Lohan told People that he is simply worried about his daughter’s battle with addiction. “Regardless of what people say to me, Lindsay is my first concern,” he told the magazine.

It was revealed over the weekend that Lohan’s high profile internship with Emanuel Ungaro was unpaid. The New York Post reported on its infamous Page Six that Lohan paid for her own hotel and flight to Paris to appear at Paris Fashion Week. But she was only unpaid if you are talking about cash. She reportedly accepted $100,000 of Ungaro clothing as payment.

Fox 411 reported that “Ungaro is not paying her at all to be a consultant for them. Her team is working to get Lindsay some form of payment from the fashion house, but right now they will only give her free clothes.”

Some in the fashion world were shocked by the pairing up of the tabloid magnet Lohan with the Italian designer. Naeem Khan said when told about the hook-up, “Esteban is a great friend of mine, and I think it’s a very dangerous move that they’re making.”

In other Lohan news, rumor has it that the aspiring singer has been dropped by Casablanca, her record label, “put[ting] their working relationship with her on hold.” Lohan’s third studio album, Spirit in the Dark, has been under production for over a year. There’s been no comment from Lohan or her “people” about the rumored record label dumping.

It’s Paris fashion week, and so far one of the biggest news items has little to do with fashion and much to do with celebrity. Lindsay Lohan, who was hired as an “artistic adviser” for Italian design house Emanuel Ungaro, presented her first collection at the Louvre, to the chagrin of style conoisseurs and struggling designers everywhere.

Largely seen as a publicity stunt for Ungaro – a brand that is rapidly fading into the background – Lohan’s collection was panned for being, well, tacky, with plenty of orange and pink, ruched orange slacks, and black, heart-shaped pasties. Guilty by association is Estrella Archs, who has designed for Prada, Christian Lacroix, Emilio Pucci, and Nina Ricci.

By way of explanation, president of Ungaro, Mounir Moufarrige, has said, “Twenty-first century muses are extroverts whose personal style and experience gives them strong creative and artistic focus.”

Even among the notoriously tough fashion crowd, fangs were out for this collection. It was only one month ago that Emanuel Ungar “hired” Lohan as as artistic adviser. Many in the fashion industry consider it a huge insult to anyone who had ever really worked in design or graduated from design school.

Then again, the fashion industry has in recent years emphasized flashy, disposable fashion over forward thinking and style. Lohan’s collection for Ungaro was no exception, with plenty of tight micro-mini dresses and emphasis on hearts as a design element. It appeared as a sequin pattern on one jacket and as cutouts on another. But it was the heart shaped pasties that were most universally panned, perhaps as a symbol of a fashion house in a desperate bid for attention from a house that has been fading from view since its founder retired back in 2004.

PARIS — Meet the “Seam Girls.”

In an unusual move to jump-start what has been a sluggish brand rejuvenation, Emanuel Ungaro has tapped an almost unknown chief designer — Estrella Archs — and an “artistic adviser” who is arguably too well-known — Lindsay Lohan.

The Spanish designer and the actress/singer/tabloid sensation are slated to present their first collection in Paris on Oct. 4, likely coming out together at the end of the runway for a bow.

For her part, Lohan, 23, told WWD she hopes to take Ungaro to a “younger place” with a harder fashion edge.

Asked to describe her role in the creative process, Lohan said she “kind of oversees everything [Archs] does, while working with her. Different generations have different ideas. See entire article at Women’s Wear Daily

Lindsay Lohan went from something close to her natural red hair color to platinum blonde the other day in a marathon salon session that lasted a reported 11 hours. She emerged with nearly waist length blonde locks, partly covered by a fedora at Byron and Tracey Hair Salon in Beverly Hills around 11:30 at night. Lohan’s Twitter account states that the new hair is for a movie role, and the movie is presumed to be Dare to Love Me, which goes into production soon.

Lohan was later spotted in tiny shorts and sunglasses hitting the shops with her on-again off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

In other Lohan news, Lindsay has dismissed reports saying she owes the fancy Chateau Marmont $37,500 in unpaid bills from a stay there in with Ronson earlier this year. The fancy hotel has been Lohan’s crash pad of choice for several years. In a 2006 Vanity Fair article, she is described as an adult version of the children’s book character “Eloise,” getting cake from the kitchen, and generally treating it like it was her own house.

Lohan’s spokesperson denied the claim that she owes Chateau Marmont money, attributing the story to a jilted friend who enjoyed feeding rumors to the British tabloids.

Earlier this week, movie star Lindsay Lohan appeared to post a number of statements on Twitter.com exposing Justin Timberlake as having cheated on his girlfriend Jessica Biel at a club in New York City called Avenue that’s located in Chelsea. Speculation was rampant that Lohan, having recently broken up with Samantha Ronson again, was lonely and taking it out on the online microblogging site.

According to a blogger named Poison Ivy, Justin Timberlake was out at the club Monday night without Biel and was seen getting cozy with a “mystery brunette.”

Afterwards, a Twitterer thought to be Lindsay Lohan called Justin out on his alleged cheating. After the Twittering story gained traction, Lohan stepped in to say that she did not write the posts, saying in a Wednesday press release: “I would not discuss my personal life, let alone someone else’s, on the internet!”

She later blamed Twitter, saying that her account had been hacked. She also has said recently that her break-up with Ronson has not left her lonely and broken-hearted: “I love being alone. Feels safe coz I can only trust myself …”
Lohan was recently the subject of conjecture after half a million dollars worth of Dior jewelry disappeared during a photo shoot for Elle magazine in London, but Elle says they have no reason to believe she was in any way responsible, and that they would not be commenting further.

In recent celebrity news, Lindsay Lohan has been spotted out socializing in Hollywood in recent days. She had an enjoyable dinner at STK recently with mom Dina and sister Ali. At a West Hollywood nightclub, she was seen having a great time, dressed in a fitted tee and lowrise jeans. Sources said that Lohan looked as if she had lost weight.

Lohan is also reported to have been seen flirting with a young man during her recent trip to Las Vegas to see the “Peepshow” venue of Melanie Brown. The two reportedly swapped phone numbers and spent some time texting each other at the hotel pool.

Other reports have Lohan at Hollywood hotspot My House flirting with Leonardo DiCaprio, who happened to be there at the same time. Lindsay reportedly approached DiCaprio’s table and chatted with him. Some have speculated that she is trying to make new friends who have influence because of the current low point in her career, and that she wasn’t necessarily flirting with DiCaprio.

Reportedly, the two talked for quite a while and ordered a number of drinks.

While numerous sources of celebrity news report that Lohan’s acting career has stalled of late, her sunless tanning product Seven Nine is making her an accidental businesswoman. Lohan insists that the product is the best sunless tanning product on the market.
