I must admit that I'm not a fan of real fur unless it's absolutely warranted for climatic reasons, but others feel differently, including some of the designers that showed their Fall / Winter 2010 collections in New York last week.

In the 1980s, it wasn't so much that the clothes themselves were bad, but that the clothes that professional women had to wear to their jobs in banks or law firms or engineering firms were so strictly dictated and by and large, so awful.
