Teen sensation Miley Cyrus recently got together with People magazine to talk about her favorite things, many of which are articles of clothing and beauty products.
As clothing goes, Miley loves jeans, Converse sneakers, and plain white T-shirts, the uniform of many teens. In denim, she chooses 7 for All Mankind Jeans for their comfortable fit. And while her job requires that she have a wardrobe of dressy shoes, from high heels to boots, she loves her Converse shoes, which she personalizes by writing favorite quotes on them. And like many a teen with tighter budgets, Miley knows the value of a plain white cotton t-shirt from Hanes.
Like lots of teenagers looking to express their individuality, Miley Cyrus likes jewelry, telling People, “The more bling the better! I love lots of jewelry.” For the recent MTV Teen Choice Awards, she wore necklaces from Loree Rodkin, Broken English, and Irit. But for everyday she loves her beaded bracelets with lettering on them spelling inspirational words like “love” and “peace.”. And Miley knows that there’s nothing better than a great handbag, like those by designer Marc Jacobs. While filming The Last Song she bought one of Jacobs’ Croc of Q Lil Riz purses.
When it comes to beauty products, Miley keeps it simple: “I am a ChapStickaholic,” she told People, with her favorite variety being classic Cherry. She likes adding beach spray to her hair, saying it helps her get the perfect waves. Juicy Couture is her favorite fragrance, specifically the eau de parfum, which has a young, fruity scent.

There is a rumor that teen sensation may star in a possible series of Gidget movies. The role of Gidget was popularized in the movie by Sandra Dee, and by Sally Field in the television series of the 1960s. The rumor also has it that pretty boy Zac Efron and Brittany Snow have also been approached about the surfer-girl movies as well.
Another new enterprise for the 16-year-old star is a new fashion line in conjunction with designer Max Azria. The line will be called “Miley & Max” and will be sold in Walmart. In a video promoting the clothing line, Cyrus says, “This line, Miley & Max, is the thing that kind of inspired me to take chances with what I wear a little bit more. I think it’s really fun because you have things that are really girly and also things that have edge to it. You’ll be able to mix and match it.” The clothing can be found on Walmart.com.
As for music, VH1 is restarting their “Diva” series, and have selected in addition to Cyrus, American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, and Adele to perform on the first episode. The series started ten years ago as a fundraiser for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, which promotes music education in schools. Since the foundation was formed in 1997, more than $40 million of musical instruments have been donated to 1,600 public schools.

What started off as a little show that tried its best turned into a television juggernaut that had pre-teens paying hundreds of dollars to see Cyrus in concert. For the three people who don’t know, Hannah Montana is a Disney television series about a girl who is a pop star, but who keeps her pop star identity a secret in order to try and live a normal life. Miley recently told CBS Morning News that her life resembles her television show. “At first it wasn’t, because I didn’t know what this whole life was about,” she said.
Last year the 16-year-old made $18 million, and her concert movie Best of Both Worlds was the biggest concert film ever. After the television show ends, she plans to continue her career as a musician and movie star.
Dad/co-star Billy Ray Cyrus recently told Access Hollywood, regarding the end of the television series, “She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus and her family celebrated mom Trish’s birthday at Paradise Island in the Bahamas last weekend. The 16-year-old star of hit Disney show Hannah Montana spent the weekend on the beach with her parents and brothers Braison and Noah. Miley and her brothers went parasailing and rode on a banana boat.
But she also found time to perform a concert Saturday night at the Atlantis Resort and Casino, and she performed at the Atlantis Imperial Ballroom. Fans were able to follow her vacation as she updated her Twitter account a few times over the weekend.
The young star recently told Daily Record that one of her role models is Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl and wife of soccer star David Beckham. Miley says that Victoria has great fashion sense and does a good job managing her career, marriage, and motherhood. In the interview she said, “In 10 years, I’d like to be a soccer mom, like Victoria. I’ll be there in my heels cheering on my kids. ‘Go, team, go.’ But I’ll have no idea what’s going on.”
In the more immediate future, Miley is looking for actors for her new movie project Last Song. Auditions have been held in Wilmington, North Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. More auditions will be held in Savannah, and the movie will be filmed there also.
Filming for Last Song is scheduled to start in mid-June and continue through August.

Miley Cyrus won Favorite Female Singer at the 22nd annual Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. Other winners at the Hollywood event were Vanessa Hudgens (Favorite Female Movie Star) and Will Smith (Favorite Male Movie Star).
Miley, star of the television show Hannah Montana, let a few tears fall as she accepted her award, and said, “I really thought I was going to lose. Unlike any other awards show, it’s all because of you guys, so thank you guys so much.” She was wearing a white strapless tiered white dress, and had new highlights in her hair.
Miley also has another big show coming up. After performing a country number with Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards, she will have a solo performance at the 44th Academy of Country Music awards on Sunday, April 5. For the ACM Awards, Miley, age 16, will perform her hit song “The Climb” from the soundtrack of Hannah Montana: The Movie. The song is a hit both on the Billboard Hot 100 and the country music charts.
